OUCH! I have a compressed L1 (20%) and the bit of pain I go through in early winter has me losing my mind, I cannot even begin to imagine what you're going through.
You know what cars have incredible seats? Volvos, most cushioned cars (seats and suspension) around. Maybe look for a 2012 S40 or even C30? Truly comfortable cars
It's a bitch isn't it? I basically have to walk around all day, the moment I sit down for longer than 20 minutes it becomes unbearable... So I need some lower back support from the seats... Will look into the volvos, depreciation is fine as long as I'm not in pain I actually don't care at this point lol...
The worst, nobody understands it, but when your back is unstable it affects everything, stomach, breathing, posture, even moods. I am honestly thinking of getting surgery next year, its no way to live. I don't know how you're managing with that much pain constantly, mine is usually for the 1st week or 2 in winter, then it slowly goes away.
Also look into using the Microwavable bean bags, those can help calm the pain.
All the best man!
I've considered surgery but have been told because 2 vertebra are sitting on all my nerves it's risky and I could lost feeling in my legs due to the way my spine curves as well... So I've learned how to live with it for now, but these car seats are just pushing it to a new extreme where I actually park and have to walk around for a bit before continuing my journey...
That is a tough one man, as long as you are coping.
Yeah, its amazing how many car seats are actually not that well designed, my old Polo Vivo's didn't offer any lower back support, but my new Renault Clio 4's seats are a lot better, haven't had any discomfort with them.
I know with a lot of Volvos, you could adjust the Lumbar Support, both my mom's old S60 and grandad's C70 had manual Lumbar Adjustment.
The clios are very comfortable cars though, suspension wise as well... Maybe I should look into a Megane or something... Hmmm
Great deals to be had with the Frenchies hey. Clio 4, Megane, and Dusters. The clios are very comfortable cars though, suspension wise as well... Maybe I should look into a Megane or something... Hmmm
E60 530d with comfort seats. You'll have to be lucky with the mileage but they do exist.

I'm not sure how comfy the Peugeot's are, but the 208s are going at a steal and the new 308 is a beauty, always a good bit of negotiating waiting to happen with the French cars.
I've driven the 208 quite a few times...
Very comfy and the 1.2 engine is quite nice but does lack a little bit of power although it should be sufficient for most people. It's a really easy car to drive.
I've driven the 1.2 208 and I agree it's a beautiful car but not enough power for me unfortunately, they've recently come out with a 1.2 turbo though
1.2 Turbo 88kw Clio is available down here, but only in the lower end Expression Trim, very odd. They really wanted to push the 0.9TCE, so they gave it the Dynamique and GT Line trims on top of Expression, as I understand it.That may be quite interesting... I assume it rivals the 1.2 turbo Clio available in Europe? That might make for quite an awesome drive considering the reviews on the slower 0.9 turbo

Oooh! That explains it being Expression only. Thanks a lot, that makes sense. There is also a 1.2 turbo unit in Europe... Ours isn't turbocharged
