Oy dont judge :p ...well i do have lots of work its just that most of my reporting is daily or weekly and i know how much time i have to do it

so yeah and other reason why i want to get into something more challenging

Ahoy all

Lately I have been thinking of moving away from a Mybb role to one that actually works out for me.
The job im doing is getting abit boring and i dont see myself moving forward.

So I have 2 options,

1: get out

2: stay a little and ask for a raise (but how)

I want to get more into the development side of things and my current role doesnt allow me to do that, so im guessing its better for me to get out but also im thinking of companies.

Is it worth moving to a smaller company or staying with a large firm ?

What do you guys base decisions on and with regards to a raise, my manager is far far away so how do i go about asking for one ?

follow the good advice given. good luck. don't just sit and stagnate. get out. its scary putting yourself out there but the pay-offs are worth it.

i do have a car which will be paid off by the end of the year but my future plans inlcude a family so which means a bigger car

and i wont want to rent forever as well

A family doesnt have to mean a bigger car. I remember being carted around in a VW Beetle by my folks, with my 2 younger sisters.

They only reason you need another car is because the one you have is broken and not worth fixing.

Kinda depends. The way things used to be with children doesn't work so much anymore. Boot space is a big issue - baby prams take up a buttload of space. So if you can't fit a monthly shopping in with the baby accessories, it can be a struggle. And 2 children with 2 baby carseats, and your backseat is full. I know people who fit 2 kids into a family Polo hatchback, but they do sukkel.

Rather target key jobs imo. You'll put in more effort when applying, which will impress the prospective employers. Carpet-bombing jobs doesn't work so well.
