Carte Blanche

My gardener is Zimbabwean, has a fantastic nature, a real gentleman, his son was with him today here on school holidays, very sweet, humble and decent young man. I hope there is a future for him and his family... I really do...

Feel the same about my domestic helper and her family.

Pot calling the kettle black? Do you see me starting thread upon thread either bashing or praising SA? So how did you come to the conclusion that I'm the one with an agenda? For somebody who moans so much, you're not very bright are you?

PS: it's very nice of you to trash and insult somebody who helped you with something not too long ago. You're welcome  You could at least try to be a bit more dignified in your replies if you disagree.

It is so true, times like these I wish I could help those people out
I wonder what it is...when people get power, they just become ruthless animals.
It should never be allowed for someone to govern a country for more than 2 terms or maybe even the same party. Maybe after every 2nd term, the party in control must be changed

That would be the ideal world, however I am starting to think that maybe it should always be two parties in power... Power and greed the death of africa

How about the bit where Mbeki walks hand in hand with the devil? And there is still people that think all is well in SA...

Can you imagine what would happen in SA if the ANC lost the general election, same s@it as Zim

Yep, i was thinking this the other day. Kinda some international rule that each country must abide by. Dont know how it could be implemented, or how well it would work, but some people just go nuts when in power.

I would not want to think about the ANC losing although I doubt it will happen in our lives but I suppose you never know

Heck I still can't believe they lost control of the Western Cape... Anyway back on topic, poor Zim seriously I am ashamed to be African this evening

"Hey me friend, it is not willing buyer, willing seller, it is now willing giver, willing taker."
Only in Africa! Why is it that the good are always assassinated and never the bad? I think someone should change this!

What's Mbeki supposed to do? He can condemn Bob as harshly as he likes, won't make an inkling of a difference. He's tried to be the diplomatic statesman and he's maintained that posture, clearly it hasn't worked but to be honest nothing has. I simply don't think being a heavy handed condescending and forceful politician is in Mbeki's make-up. He's a bit wimpy...

Zim's in total free fall, she may never recover but if there's to be any chance at all Bob's got to go and I don't see him leaving while fit, conscious and breathing.

It's interesting to note though that they claimed Bob was ready to go post election but members within Zanu-pf with blood on their hands convinced him to stay and fight basically cause they will face crimes against humanitarian charges once Bob's gone...
