Just been watching the story on AsiaWing trucks. Theit built quality is shocking! Whats worse is how the SABS’s oversight allowed hundreds of these trucks on our roads without the required roadworthy.

Poor owners/consumers
Guess you pay for what you get..
And what about the people that get wiped out in cars/others when those trucks fail to stop/turn/fall apart![]()
Or a red light means 0km/h, not 120km/hIf we could just teach all the taxi drivers that the right lane on the highway is for going >60km/h then I would already be a lot happier.

I get the feeling some money changed hands to allow the trucks to be registered using the motor bike numbers.
As long as VW can sell the Golf MK1 as a new car under different guises (VeloCITI etc), with SABS approval, we will keep getting cheap, crap cars from the East.I've said it all along - taxis aren't the only death traps, trucks and buses are just as bad - if not worse because they have the potential to cause more damage.
Imagine that death trap - it's propably build using very old technology!
