Carte blanhe last night

Can somebody please explain why governments all over the world ban online gambling ?

Plain old filthy greed from politicians --- it's all about money. Firstly, they don't like the competition against their own public gambling services, e.g. National Lotteries; by heavily controlling gambling, they retain a monopoly on such services. Secondly, they get pay-offs from the "real-life" Casino operators who also don't like having to operate in a free market and have competition and all that.

They will spin is as being about community moral standards or 'protecting the children', but that's just to sucker the public into accepting such infringements - it's all about getting money unethically.

The only business governments might legitimately have in interfering with gambling is to prevent fake gambling for purposes of tax evasion. Everything else is BS.
