Case that can fit a gtx260

Understandable, but i would like to know what motivates people here to spend that amount on a chassis? Okay, for super high end PC's they help alot with cooling but other than that? Is it the look/style factor or what?

still doesn't answer my question, what about a chassis will make u spend R2000+. If i spend R500 on a case and it does everything i need. Fit all my hardware with space to spare, 4 HDD's etc and nothing overheats, why must i go and spend R2000. Is it just for a better looking case? Sorry for the constant bombardment i just wanna find out :/

I spend around R1800 (inc shipping) for my case, the Coolermaster Sniper Storm. Yes, its expensive but I intend to have it last 5 years+. In that light, its not too bad. Also, it comes with 3 x 200mm fans so it keeps everything cool. On top of that, bigger fans are usually quieter which is important to me. All my wiring is also neatly tucked away behind the motherboard, meaning even better airflow. The case is nice and big, making for easy installation, and yes, even better airflow. So basically, I guess you're paying for better cable management, airflow, and looks (depending on what you like). And with the more expensive cases there are usually little extras as well, like mine has a dial to adjust the speeds of the fans. So basically it comes down to better airflow for the most part. And although your temperatures are no doubt 100% ok, lower temps are are better since it will prolong the life of all components inside.
 
Haven't you ever struggled against a horribly designed case?
1: Poor airflow
2: Bad wiring
3: Heavy/bad materials
4: difficult to reach or install HDDs
5: Lack of expansion ports
6: Ugly
7: Not enough fans installed and no room for more

That's all why you would pay more money for a better case. And remember r1800 is only <$150 - not so much for a serious gamer in the US.

Okay, de-rail own thread ! :D do you think a AMD 6000+ & 2gb ddr 800 is bottlenecking the GTX260 OC?

Depends on what you're doing, but I'd say yes. On XP memory should be fine, but on Vista/7 the OS already uses alot of that RAM. And I'd say most FPS games wont mind a dual core, whereas any RTS, possible even RPG games will benefit from something better. What socket is your motherboard? If its AM2+ the you can drop in a Phenom II X4

I've actually had another look, and it looks like AM2 is still fine. You need to be super duper sure though, so I suggest you go to your motherboards website, and check the supported CPU list. If you're in luck, then all you will need is a bios update.
 
Yeah, just googled quite a bit and it wont work :/ oh well, tx for the help :)

Guess ill save up to upgrade.
 
Nope, you're outta luck. You may want to wait for the 800 series northbridge chipset, it will likely drive down prices of the current motherboards. But that will only be around May...
