Caster 'had medical help'

Saying it was "ten times more than a normal woman" is meaningless in the context. Normal women are not competing in world-class competition. How much testosterone do women in that sort of competition have? Nine times more than normal women? Five times more? Twice as much?
It was ten times higher than allowed and found in top female athletes.

Maybe we can get Paul the octopus to predict a time for her next race...

She does not have "Both bits", she has extra tissue.

Just FYI.... if you are a balled man there is a high chance that you have exactly the same thing !

I missed you on the balled man part. Is that not the issue? She should not be the same as a balled man.

She identifies as a woman. Externally, she's a woman.

What would you call yourself if you discovered that you by some mischance had some ovarian tissue, or have XX or XXY chromosomes? Would you start thinking of yourself as an it?

Well, that's exactly why I am asking. How should we refer to these people? It's all very well and good if she looks like a female, but Caster could pass for both. I'm happy if she has made her choice to be referred to as female... but it does create problems of fairness in terms of competition.

And why if her Testosterone level is "normal" for female athletes will she be monitored?

Easiest way is to call them by their first name, like when you talk to your mother-in-law and don't want to call her mom

Pass for both? How do you figure that? As far as I'm aware, she's entirely female on the outside.

She's well built, but so are the Williams sisters.

That's not what the news articles said.

And you think athletes are measured against normal people?
And of course there is a range where you fit in.
Why if they did this would they have tested her and told her she is not allowed her to race for a year. Then take her back after it was “fixed”.
The I.A.A.F considers a T-E ratio of 1:1 normal for men and women, and the 6:1 ratio was adopted to account for natural variations

Good point, maybe we should send her to Wimbledon next year, they seem to more accepting than the IAAF :D

Sure. But all the news reports talked about "normal women", not top-class athletes.

I think we have to refer to people by what they want to be called not by what they are. She wants to be a girl so since it's not a raging queen we call it a girl.

I'd like to be refereed to as "sovereign" :D

Men and women are equal... except in athletics and car insurance.

I don't know if that's true - but I would imagine it to be the case, based on what my sister's told me.

Here's one of the articles from last year: http://www.sport24.co.za/OtherSport/Caster-testosterone-natural-20090826

I know I read that to.
I do not think if it is the case that female athletes has more testosterone than normal woman that the I.A.A.F would have compared her to other woman rather than athletes.
I have googled this and can not find anything about my testostrone levels being different from athletes. But I will continue.

And normal is between two points. At the highest she is three times that.

Unfair atvantage and if you are a real sports man ( which i'm not I hate loosing ) you would give the title back. Or do I have the wron idea about sportmanship?
