Caster takes gold

Apparently she has internal testes & no womb and this was not reported by tabloids but more reputable papers. Thing is you will never know as her medical records are private as it should be.

When all this crap started the way it was handled was absolutely disgusting as as far as I'm concerned, something akin of a freakshow from the 1800s. That's not how you treat people.

Yeah, absolutely. Her treatment was quite vile, including the actions of our own athletics authorities and government. I'm glad they've changed their tack in that regard.

But as far as I know it hasn't been confirmed that she has undescended testes or no womb, either by her or the IAAF or anyone else, and the speculations were started by an Australian tabloid paper.

Consider this:

When in-vitro genetic modifications become standard place, will we bar the recipients of such modifications when they outperform unmodified people.

Yah, athletes using enhancing mods are using enhancers, that is administering in order to inhibit or enhance.

Did Semenya dope?

Yip, anyone who confirms anything is talking rubbish or breaking confidentiality and going to get sued.

Still, it’s not considered unsportsmanlike to simply be strange-looking. Countless Olympians are celebrated for unorthodox features that give them an edge in their sports. Much has been made of Michael Phelps’s preternatural wingspan and ultra-flexible feet that turn into “virtual flippers.” Biostaticians have said Usain Bolt’s 6-foot-5-inch height and fast-twitch muscle fibers make him perfectly suited to sprinting. Other athletes have less obvious advantages, like high levels of hemoglobin or diminutive heights tailor-made for tumbling passes.

;)

Yes, was referencing exactly that. Basically anyone who is phenomenal is like that because they have some kind of genetic advantage.

Interesting debate now that starts around Katie Ledecky and how they have called her a "female Phelps" when its Phelps who has the feminine stroke.

Lol, so what would you consider as normal? It is seeming that extraordinary human beings have no place on the planet. Talk about xenophobia…
Flush them all down the toilet.

My post was being a sarcastic.. considering the previous posts saying Caster has an unfair advantage due to her naturally occurring higher testosterone levels.

Tearful Lynsey Sharp says rule change makes racing Caster Semenya difficult

A tearful Lynsey Sharp said the decision to overturn rules on testosterone suppression made competing against the women’s Olympic 800m champion, Caster Semenya, and other hyperandrogenic athletes difficult.

...

Sharp told the BBC after the race: “I have tried to avoid the issue all year. You can see how emotional it all was. We know how each other feels. It is out of our control and how much we rely on people at the top sorting it out. The public can see how difficult it is with the change of rule but all we can do is give it our best.

“I was coming down the home straight, we were not far away and you can see how close it is. That is encouraging. We will work hard and aim to come back even stronger.”

Sharp, who ran a personal best 1min 57.69sec, hinted that her feelings are shared by her fellow athletes Melissa Bishop of Canada and Poland’s Joanna Jozwik, who also missed out on medals. The three hugged together after the finish in what Sharp said was a show of unity. “We see each other week in, week out, so we know how each other feel.”

Yah, expect more emotions to burst open into the public.

Then I heartily apologise that I leaped to a conclusion.

Yes Caster is just a regular gal from the hood
Nothing to see here. Well done Caster!

I reckon she could have gone even faster. She looked very casual out there and I suspect she may have held a little back to try and limit the inevitable crying and b!tching after she gave the field a snotklap.

Read what I said: in-vitro modifications.

Which means that the recipients of them did not choose to have them applied. Which means they would have the same type of genetic advantage as Usain Bolt has.

best part is that she came 6th place, so even if Caster was not participating, she would have ended up 5th place and still gotten nothing.

Yup, of the three mentioned in the article, only Melissa Bishop would have cracked a medal (bronze) had Caster not been competing..

Basically, political correctness edging its way into destroying female competitive sport.

I think we'll start seeing the same with special olympians soon, with some of the body mods these people use, they can almost get into the finals of the regular olympics.

Another interesting stat, Melissa Bishop's time 1:57.02 is the 242nd best time by a woman in the 800m (and her own PB) Caster's time was only good enough for 20th position of all time.

http://www.alltime-athletics.com/w_800ok.htm

Caster has run quicker than Melissa Bishop's PB 7 times in total....

edit: As a comparison, Caster's time come nowhere close to the Men's all time 800m list...

http://www.alltime-athletics.com/m_800ok.htm

Caster ran 1:55.28, the men's 800m has been run faster than 1:45.99, 6450 times.

What is politically correct about a woman winning?
