Cell C has recently released their 21 Mbps HSPA+ mobile broadband contracts with pricing which is likely to get MTN and Vodacom’s attention

At R149 per month for 2GB and modem it is actually more expensive on contract if you take the total cost into account. And then there's the risk of OOB bill shock. Still way cheaper than MTN/Voda.

Was also worried about the OOB part but it looks like the card is still basically "prepaid" even on contract. It's 20% more expensive than the once-off but at least Rouxenator can stop crying himself to sleep now.

Good Cell C, that price fixing by MTN and Vodacom is slowly coming to an end. Wonder why Helkom with their infrastructure didn't come up with something in the lines of what Cell C is offering when they launched 8.ta.

Cell C’s 5GB package for R299 is even more competitive when compared to Vodacom’s R945 for a modem and 5GB of data.
