Cell C 3G

In their defence, lately they have delivered a 100 anytime minute contract from R49 per month, literally a fraction of the price of the competition. I think they are finally doing their job stirring up competition. Unfortunately, hardly anybody has noticed yet. That might be about to change.

Will the 900 MHz 3G have the same coverage as present, since it's the same transmitters?

I would really appreciate it if you could post me a link to that deal, looking for a new cellphone contract, and open to about anything, just want some decent hardware, Android OS or maybe the Samsung Wave...

Thanks! Will check out their deals.
900MHz has a longer range and better indoor penetration therefore you need fewer transmitters.

They should sell the iPhone 4 since it's capable of 3G HDSPA @ 900MHz, it's the perfect smartphone for their network!

They should sell the iPhone 4 plus a free cover since it's capable of 3G HDSPA @ 900MHz, it's the perfect smartphone for their network!

Fixed plus it's the 2nd fastest production phone on the market with the highest resell value I reckon.

So! Far as we know their only offering is the one for about a grand....Nyc way to rack in the money.Thou the question is this company ever going get data bundles in place?
After all im thinking they broke the "On" switch on the control station lmao (cause still no flipping access!)

i did the trevor thing on the website waiting for call now :P

listen closely, and post what they say

...it might take a day or two for them to respond, apparently they are getting a huge response to their campaign

yes i am also going to record the call on my phone, just for in case they dont live up to there promises when i want to buy it :)

I also have a 3G tower in my area called "SA 02" that is probably cellc code name or something, also noticed other buddies in the east getting 655 02

655 02 is the MCC and MNC - Mobile Country Code 655 = South Africa and Mobile Network Code is 02 = Cell C (new code as Cell C 1800 is 07)

If you have a handset/modem with older firmware and 65502 has not been assigned to Cell C then 655 02 will be displayed!

How come have Cell C not assigned SA 02 to rename it to Cell C(Does this have something to do with broadband offering/HSDPA). I have all 4 Networks on Display. MTN,Vodacom(3G) CellC(edge) and SA 02(3G)..

That explains a lot now, had to read it again, thank you for the input, so basically net work list needs to be updated to be able to display CellC aka SA 02 3G

yep i have contract with them for long time now.

using nokia 6220 classic have hsdpa 3.6mps, tested with mtn hsdpa does work on it

well this could be interesting can not wait. if that is there pricing then it is well worth it. but what happens once you cap out do they carry on charging you or how does it work
