Hi Folks! is anyone else experiencing this? I have the Black Speedstick from Cell C and was getting speeds up up to 9mb download and 1.5mb upload but now am only getting 1.2mbps download and 0.03mbps upload(http://www.speedtest.net/result/1224786959.png). I havent moved and the device used to get good speeds. Is it a localised fault as I not getting any feedback from Cell C. This has been happeining for about 14 days? My location is Cowey Rd, Durban. Would be nice to know if its just me so I know where to start trouble shooting. Thanks CDS

Same thing - in Joburg, near Wanderers. Performance has dropped steadily over the last few months, now almost unusable in this area.

This is one of the better ones of late :

The download speed is about 20% of what it used to be.

I've had ones much slower as well.

Same in Equestria, Pretoria. Sometimes I can't connect with the cellc stick and have to use the sim card in my vodacom modem.

Thanks Guys! I take it that both these area's were area's that were getting good speeds previously? I am going to try and get through to the right people at Cell C tomorrow and will give them this feedback and let you know what they come back with. I have a feeling its going to be a slow process!

I'm still getting about 1.8MB download and 1.2MB upload in Equestria. There was a problem a few days ago though (over the weekend).

Thanks Cell C Rep! I have tried to raise this twice in the last couple of weeks but havent had any proper investigation done so you help would be appreciated.

I have been outside in the garden and it is the same. The light is bright blue indicating the fastest speed but is still very very slow as per test I have just run below:

I would remove address details if I was you.
Rather make use of PM.
Just a suggestion ;)

Remember there will be a slow-down at month ends. It would have had less strain on the network if everyone's cap reset on their activation dates and not the end of each calendar month.

I'm also experiencing pathetic speeds on the black stick. I live in Saint Thomas road, Musgrave. I have been in contact with customer care for 3 weeks now and no one can help me.

Dude im pretty much in the exact same boat as you...
Im in Pinetown and its horrifically slow compared to how it used to be.
Upload is also around 0.03 or so upload, and with "speeds" like that.. Its just a waste of money.

This is what im getting at work (10 mins from where i live) during the day, so im gathering my local tower is overloaded at night.
Reckon its different towers from home to work as i live in pinetown but work in New Germany.

So i guess there is nothing that can be done about it? Overloaded is overloaded...... guess i will just have to live with it.
