Last Wednesday, 12/09/2012, I was robbed at gunpoint to which my cellphone among other things, was stolen. I reported this to Cell C and had the SIM card blocked, received an ITC number and opened a case at the closest police station. On Friday, 14/09/2012 at about 09:50am I logged an incident by fax for a claim at the Cell C Rosebank branch and was told an assessor would be in contact with me within 24-48 hours to provide an outcome to my claim. It is now Thursday, 20/09/2012 and I still have not heard from Cell C Cover. I have called since Monday and the latest promise made on Tuesday, 18/09/2012 was that the assessor/administrator would get back to me my on Wednesday, 19/09/2012. I raised a complaint on HelloPeter and I was told Sisa would be in contact with me. Still no answer. I am getting fed-up of waiting. Everytime I phone the call centre they are unable to help me or they try put me through to C-Cover which never answers the phone. I have tried calling 4-5 times today and it just rings and rings and rings. I have waited up to 20 minutes with no one answering the phone. How does Cell C run a business like this? All I want is an answer. Why set an expectation with a customer if you cannot live up to it?
I rely on my mobile phone for work purposes as I am a consultant/contractor, so while Cell C take their time I am losing money everyday over and above what I was told.
Is there anyone out there that can help me??? I am at the point of giving up.
