Cell C customers could get 5G soon

Cell C customers could have access to 5G connectivity soon as the mobile network operator says it is in talks with its infrastructure partners to implement the service.

MyBroadband asked Cell C whether it planned to launch a 5G network for its customers, and the company's chief technology officer, Schalk Visser, said it is in the works.

Do both Telkom and Cell C not own their network and if so are they both using the same provider for their network

I also appreciate the free data and minutes i get on my fnb connect sim every month. I never need to buy airtime for my main mtn sim coz of this.
Enjoy it while it lasts. I don't see this provider going the distance unless someone with deep pockets buys them and sorts all the issues out.

FNB will just switch to someone else. Maybe telkom or MTN
They tried to get me to sign up but I told them if they were with Vodacom I would. I'd only do it if they switch to Vodacom, MTN has had too many dodgy sim SWOP instances and people have lost money on their bank accounts because of MTN.

And I wouldn’t tie myself with anything that has to do with vodacom, see how people have different experiences . Also my FNB connect sim is a secondary sim so none of my details are connected to it. I use it solely for calls and data.

Since moving to the western cape my data rates are even worse than in gauteng.

Full bars 4g and I am lucky to have internet. It's pretty bad. I am pretty much always on wifi so thats the main reason I have not switched over yet.

I am using FNB connect.
