Cell C data price increases

Waiting for my portable wifi thingy from Afrihost. Much cheaper with more data.
Just carry it with you.
Cell C can leave now. Still use their voice calls where people don't have whatsapp calls though.
But it will also make way for Afrihost.
 
Wow, that's more than a 30% increase for the smaller packages. I feel sick.

MTN has the data option with a MTN prepaid sim to bolt on Afrihost or Axxess data which Cellc does not.

The Cellc 30 day bundles are still cheaper than MTN and Vodacom but with MTN you get extra airtime and with Vodacom the slightly more price comes with a much better network than Cellc.

Sorry Cellc you are not going to win customers by increasing prices.... :erm:

Helps to have a dual SIM phone. I get 512MB/month on 2nd SIM for the same price as if I would buy a 100MB bundle.

I roam on MTN so I can actually get signal, this is in the heart of Randburg with a tower relatively close by, this is in Roodepoort, Midrand etc... So if you can get MTN signal and don't mind roaming it's fine.
 
I get available from 1-7AM notification, and used it several times after 6am.

You asked how much extra you have to pay and the answer is nothing extra,unlike Vodacom with their rip-off 75% story.MTN is not too bad actually similar to Cell C but with just one month subscription extra fee.

Yeah dual sim would be great,unfortunately hard to get local high end phones with warranty in this country.I would gladly change my s7 edge for a dual sim one if I could get it with full local warranty and ADH.
 
And cell phone companies think they are invincible.
Good for them.
Until the consumer spring starts.
 
I came from MTN to Cell C because of their cheap data prices, but now since they're increasing their prices, I'm gonna be returning to MTN

Why not Telkom? Whose packages can roam on MTN network (not the big contract packages of 5GB for R99 or more, those are Telkom network only), more like R99 for 1GB on prepaid.

Thought they canned Telkom network only deals. That was the whole ruse for discontinuing their 50+50 deals.
