Cell C has lost the services of their newly appointed CCO, Cliff Sampson, as well and their Head of Sales Craig Kidson.

One other unnamed Executive has also resigned.

Essentially this leaves only Head of Marketing Simon Camerer and CEO, Jeffery Hedberg.

Are the rats leaving a sinking Ship?

LOL, probably, maybe "Woza Weekend" didn't work out too well. Source?

The CTO is still there too.
But still... woman and children first, captain only gets to leave last...

I wonder how the staff feels... go or stay and hope for the best.... or go...:o

Chances are tho - if shareholders sold or something -ud prolly find some1 like China Mobile or Virgin would buy Cell C out and inject a lot of capital in upgrading. Still its always good to support the underdog - nothing like healthy competition to benefit the customer in the end.

I doubt Virgin would buy them out, it hasn't generally been their business model to own the network. It might be good but unfortunately Cell C's a bit too much of an underdog, I just find them generally incompetent and useless.

But they were doing better than before, they have the link with Virgin, theres a "brighter" future for them...

Oh well Id like to know why they did that, should be interesting

You'd like to know why they did what? Virgin has relatively few customers, I don't think they're doing that well.

Why top management left? I would only leave suddenly if they threaten to reduce salaries!

It's been a bit of a spiral for CellC. Less customers because of poor network, no cash to upgrade because of smaller user base and so on. Virgin was a bit of a booster, but they can't do a lot with what CellC has to offer. Virgin DO have aspirations to run their own network. They see their relationship with CellC as a springboard to greater things.

Or if you don't see a future there and see no point in staying. Wouldn't be hard for people like that to find other jobs.

I think the company has, at least 7 exco members and 20 executive heads – the guys on Simon Camerer’s level. So they should be ok.

Not so, all other execs are on Finance side.
