Cell C - LTE

Do any of you know when the masses will be able to use Cell C's LTE network.

Not just the trial users?
 
I think they have enough problems on their hands without trying to introduce a new technology, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

They were kind enough to even block out LTE excess to some trial users - Took that complaint as far as i could & now i give my money to 8ta/Telkom instead.

I think I'll be most likely be porting to a other network at end of my contract. I already have almost no reception in the area I live in. It better at work but still not to have the convenience of being able to phone when u need to is extremely frustrating.

They just seem to be trailing the pack these days.
 
I guess I'm lucky to have a LTE data sim but no coverage where I stay......

I thought Cell C wasn't going to be putting up LTE until they get their wanted spectrum from Icasa??

Would love to have Cell C LTE up in PE :)
 
@cavedog did you purchase the LTE bundle ?

No it was a gift from cellc for reporting a security flaw on their website. Only noticed recently that it is actually LTE enabled.
 
What APN does Cell C use? Is there more than just 'Internet'?

if you use a iphone it changes to apple.cellc.za which for some reason ONLY works on apple devices but does not charge data differently.
 
Someone lent me their 128K SIM with 5GB to burn. I was hoping to finally test Cell C LTE on my B593 LTE router (2100MHz support). :(

So for now it's the 'Internet' APN and *99# connection string?

Edit: maybe I should phone them and try get provisioned? :D

Same here. My account got killed 2 or 3 months before the 365 days of the LTE bundle was up, even though it was being used every day, and transferred to someone else's name. I got it re-instated, but the account isn't in my name so I cannot even log support calls for it. The LTE option was also taken away and it's just a 3G bundle now for the data that remains.
