Cell C MegaBonus offer

I don't think toll free numbers were ever free from a mobile number, its only toll free from a Telkom fixed line as far as I know.

Oh, that makes sense I suppose. Anyway, one thing that bothers me with the 50c deal, is its only a promotional offer. So if that ends in 2 or 3 months time will you have to switch to a different product? I don't see the Supacharge one anymore, and this Megabonus doesn't look very nice.

Its not promotional because they want to make it promotional, its promotional pending the outcome of the Call Termination rates fiasco in which MTN and Vodacom took ICASA to court for trying to drop the rates and in the process screwing the consumer over.

They have said that if ICASA confirms CTR wont go up then it will become a permanent fixture.

The 50c deal, expires at the end of September. Hope they make it permanent....

This is actually going to be very tricky for Cell C,they can only make it permanent if ICASA publishes the new regulations before the end of September, many in the industry think ICASA will never be ready in time based on how they have proceeded so far.

Well I switched over, will see how it goes. This plan fits more with what I want so I hope it stays (or something similar at least).

Damnit, can they just stop changing their tariffs every month. Didn't even know about this 50c thing. I'm still on the supercharge thing (replaced by Megabonus?) and saw the 79c, which looked meh to me anyway. But I'm gonna switch to this 50c deal now. The last supercharge stuff was ridiculous. Recharge with R100, get like 600 MB data and 6 hours on net call time but its only valid for 7 days, wtf?

Actually if you recharge with R150 it was worth it,bonus stuff valid for 15days.Think that's the one that gave you 400 cell c minutes and 600mb of data.

Ye sorry, the R100 is 7 days. But still, I don't need megaloads of on-net minutes and data that will expire soon. So the new 50c thing will work better for me.

Yeah I found that 50c per minute works better for my wife also since she has wifi at home so doesn't need much data normally only when we go out at nights and weekends,so she's also on that plan.

So it's either/or right:
Megabonus = 3x your credit, but only for 2 days... - FREE whatsapp (can you use this 'free' credit to buy longer last bundles - e.g. data?
OR:
Supacharge = data, sms for free, seems to last longer... lower call-rates? or not??
OR:
Some other plan - e.g. 50c call rates... where you get none of the above

Flip, they don't half make it complicated hey!

Then there's the REAL DEAL competition -- which seems to be free... but then there's something about if they ask you a question they charge you: "Each response / answer SMS sent to the short code number 14707 is billed at R1.50. This charge applies even if the answer sent is incorrect, invalid or blank."
