Cell C must ring up a target market

Lets be honest, Cell C's struggling because the actual network is **** compared to MTN and Voda, everybody I know on Cell C seems to have endless problems and customer service doesn't seem to be much better.

If the next few months are going to be critical to Cellc, I am doing my little bit to help them down the tubes. I am cancelling each and every contract I had with them as and when they become due for renewal.

I supported them originally because I wanted them to succeed, to let us have another competitor in our monopilised telecomms market, but now I have had it with the poor quality calls and useless data network! Their call centre is also a joke!

And once burned, twice shy. As much as I hate Telkom, Neotel will have a major job convincing me to become a subscriber. If I remember correctly Cellc also launched ages after the date they were allowed to? And there was also shareholder squabbles?

As for Virgin mobile, it looks like this is the only country where Virgin delivers a worse service than the incumbants. Sir Richard came, launched and ran away from here.

I think Virgin's big mistake was choosing Cell C and not one of the other networks.

I have been with Cell C for a month and it's been the worst month of my life. They stole my airtime and they still can't get my internet working. Damn they suck.

The last person that I know who still had a CellC contract just moved over to MTN two days ago...

We have 2 VM contracts (indirectly Cell C) and have no problems at all. We pay less for both contracts then we did on one of our MTN contracts before.

I used Cell C for years with no problems. I'm only using an MTN contract at the moment because it was dirt cheap. I'd have no problem with using Cell C again if I saw a deal I liked. MTN has twice stolen airtime, calling their support generally requires waiting on the phone for 30-60 minutes, then they make excuses, give no answers and do nothing about the problem.
