Cell C network problem complaints

Strange, I almost never have any issues with cellc. Data is always up and running. I am probably just in the right spot :D

About damn time - lets hope they put out a response so we know what to do

Cell C would have responded by now, if they were the least bit interested. Their silence says a lot.

I had so much trouble with my Giga 200 that I just had to let it go and sign a Vodacom data contract. The worst is that when I and others complained on the Cell C section of the forum we were told to stop complaining by other users.

The attitude of some users seems to be, mine works so stfu. I am on giga 200, and my internet only starts working at about 10pm at night. I lodged 2 complaints, 6 weeks ago and 4 weeks ago. Nothing has been done, and haven't received callback from either. So I have lost 6 weeks + of my 52 week prepaid "contract"

I think if yours works, good for you and stfu and let us complain about the shyte service

The people saying that Cell C works for them probably don't even use their phones, as most of them say "I get full 3G all the time".

err yes, so do we. It doesn't mean it's working.

Been in Margate for a month now. No issues in the locations that I've been with Cell C.

Sorry to hear your problems, but I haven't experienced any issues personally.

I know you people are upset but just because there are issues in some areas doesn't mean everybody is affected.

Mine is fine and has always been fine. It's not exceptional but 5Mbps for me is perfectly acceptable for my usage patterns.

Mine was fine too, until about 6 weeks back, used to recommend cell c to everyone. The issue is when you complain, people more or less either start accusing you of doing a hatchet job on Cell C , or treat you like an idjut

Sure I get 100% signal and full 3G speed when I'm in Pofadder (unless my brother in law has a power failure as he supplies the tower with electricity), but then in Cape Town CBD I'm on EDGE.

Its all about coverage and lack of consistent coverage, that is CellC's weakness.

It fades away.

Cell C probably bought some ad space and now it's a non-issue.

BUMP.

rpm, can you do a follow up article on this? Surely Cell C would have responded by now?

So gatvol of getting SMS messages from 144 saying I missed a call... If you can SMS me then you can route a ****ing call through to me surely?

I hope it hasn't fallen away though. At least a formal response would be appreciated.

Cell C was the best. My one line (meant to be my business number) is Cell C. It is no longer feasible. At my place, I consider one bar lucky (-103dB). At main work centre (Midrand) I get 2 bars (93 dB max). Daily I drive from Fourways to Midrand to Linden some weeks and Heathway-Midrand-Auckland Park other weeks. In Heathway, I am lucky if I get better than -99dB. In Linden, I have to restart my phone to get back on the network. In Fourways, I just live on my MTN number because it is so bad.

This has only been recent but because it is my work number - the one where my clients are supposed to be able to reach me - I will have no choice but to port. I have tried all fixes (like the other thread) but nothing has improved my lot.

It is really sad because I like Cell C. I like that they are not MTN or Vodacom. I like that they have treated me very well in the past. I like that their rep is on here and a moerse nice oke. I do not like that I can no longer have contact without restarting my phone or reverting to MTN. I hate that I have to port to Telkom Mobile.

But I really have no choice. If things improve, I will be back in a flash but for now, I think I will look after my interests.
