Cell C network problems

I have been with CellC for four years and have never experienced anything of this nature before. So, I was not going to comment because every network has glitches from time to time. But the statement above is a flat out lie.
My cellphone has not been able to receive or make calls or sms since yesterday afternoon. There is no network reception at all. The problem is not intermittent as has been stated, but constant.
Whether only certain numbers are affected, I cannot comment on.
I can handle problems if people are honest and apologise, but I don't like being lied to.
And how soon is soon, it's been almost 24 hours.

Wife's phone is 0846 and she is also having issues since around 7pm last night.

I have an 0848 number and so does my mom; I just called her, and it works - my number and hers.
Well, lets hope that means they are making progress.
An official Cell C statement says: "Cell C experienced a technical glitch which affected one of the nodes in certain numbers this afternoon. This problem is isolated only to a few numbers and specifically affects incoming calls intermittently. Our technicians are currently working on the problem and we are hoping to resolve it soon. Cell C wishes to apologise for the inconvenience caused."
BULL, my 0848 and 0845 and 0843 numbers are TOTALLY OFF since yesterday, no help from 140, they have a real bad attitude there.
It is bad enough that i can't make calls on a weekend as Cell C need to provide free calls to customers to show that their call volumes are increasing and keep their investors happy, but now my businesses must be off line because their IT guys don't know what they are doing!

Since about 0900 this morning my Cell C phone seems to work fine. However the link between Vodacom and Cell C seem to be still glitchy. So if you usually select Vodacom as your network on the phone, then just switch it to Cell C in the meanwhile to get access. Hope it helps...

Good plan, they're beyond useless. I'm really surprised they're still in business. Apparently the network's barely functional over weekends now too.

I wonder how long before Cell C goes under? The free weekend calls seems like a last desperate move to me.
