What are you on about?
Loading the same page with different speeds the higher the speed the higher the data usage same page. Have you noticed you cant set your packet size and all that sort like you can with TC/IP. Now do a test. Watch the modem. Ping a server with different packet sizes from the cmd prompt and see how it goes from blue to light blue. Now that stuff that uses data and waste it I we alll pay for but its controlled by the operator. Mobile broadband have to send more round trips out as well comparing to other connections.

I do have a teenage lesbian looking for love nick at one site. But that's for a completely different story.

Back to the topic.
But seriously that prices is shocking we are starting to crack jokes at each other in the thread.
But why the price increase and the huge one?
If you think realistic what is the amount data/cost the avg will joe will fork out for it? Looking at Cell Cs data bundles there's nothing down low like MTN and Vodacom has got. Do they really think a business is going to fork out that for data when a landline is more reliable?
There are more poor than rich people in this country. Which market are they aiming for? Its a shame the power is also run by a 1 man band otherwise it couldve been used as well for another source of internet.

Otherwise we all pitch 5 bucks and start our own network operator. Already a user with a huge dish on a roof somewhere around it here.

There was a hudge drop, but it was called "promotion". Then 8-ta came in and (in surprise) is not targeting Voda/MTN, but Cell-C. I think Cell-C has proved they can provide data services that previously was considering a joke, they don't need to compete on hudge cheap volume market anymore. Did you notice that 8-ta promotion lasts only to the end of the year? I think they have a new promotion ready, but they delay it to see what is competitors next move.
Think, they need to recharge and they can't recharge so quick as your wife do? ;)

Cumulatively, my internet has been non-functioning or unusable for at least 2 or 3 months in total. I've learned my lesson; in South Africa one should try not to sign a contract or pay upfront. Far better to hold onto your cash until you receive the goods and services you agreed to.
