I've recently noted that logging into own's own account on the CellC website now routes to a secure site. I still don't know why it was not done properly from the start.

I have not managed to register on that site, ever. It keeps rejecting my promotional-package SIM number (084000xxx) as invalid. Anyone know why?
Using the Cell C dashboard to request my balance used to work a treat but for a while now it simply times out (I'm using a Cell C EDGE signal piggybacked from our local VC tower). Same with MDMA.

CELL C Self Service Portal
CELL C your self service portal is unusable.
First of it took me about 20 Captcha's before it would send me a new password, while I am sure i have been entering the correct captcha
Second after you send me a password it does not work

My registration worked fine. You need to use the number sent to you with no other text. Portal works, but NO DATA USAGE/BALANCE ???? I'm on prepaid.

I need to know how to check data usage using a Huawei E5331 3G/WiFi 'router'. MDMA does not detect it. I don't want to have to remove the sim and place it in a phone to check data balances.

I have Cell C's D105 router with a Red Bull USB Speed Stick for my data. I cannot view my data usage via the portal or via the software.
The suggestion from Cell C is to disconnect, unplug the speed stick, insert it into my notebook, open the app, connect to the network and request a balance update.
Apart from defeating the object of having the wifi router, this solution doesn't work!
