Cell C sim swap via sms?

Hi my SO has an existing cell C contract sim. She recently bought a new phone and now needs a new nano sim for it.

Whats the easiest way to sim swap to the nano sim? Can we buy a nano sim prepaid sim from say CNA/checkers/spar and simply swap via sms? Bit of a hassle to get to a Cell C shop at the moment.

What about these instructions? Requires a call to 140... sms would be preferred.

There is no SMS option for this process as telephonic contact is required for this process.

Kindly purchase a new SIM card, then you can send an email to [email protected] which will include the RICA serial number of the new SIM card, the number in question + a number we can reach you on.

Hi thanks for the info. Can you please confirm that nano USIMs are available in retail stores? (I read something about USIMs being required for LTE). Any tip on how to distinguish the different prepaid kits?

Get the latest prepaid starter pack R.099 with a big C on it. SIM card is visible through the package. It is a blue SIM with cuts for micro and nano.

The USIMs come as a 3 in 1 Starter pack, and it is blue in colour.

These are available at our Cell C stores, we cannot confirm if they will be available at your nearest retail stores.

Game Stores sells Cellc U-SIM that is a Trio sim. Contains a nano sim,micro adapter and normal adaptor. They sell for R4 each and on the pack it shows Cellc Trio sim and is blue in colour. The staterpack is the size of a bank card.
