Cell C WhatsApp data price hike

Cell C will increase the price of its 1GB WhatsApp data bundle, which lasts for 30 days, from R20 to R29 from 5 June 2019.

Cell C explained that its pricing is determined by multiple factors and it has become necessary to increase this price by 45%.
 
If there was no Telkom, I'd probably be with MTN cause Cell C is not really an alternative to Vodacom and MTN.
 
Telkom Mo Nice 2.25 Gb for R28 Valid for 30 days. Now compare the Value.

You can use it for anything.

I cant see any sane person paying R30 for 1Gb whatsapp Bundle when better offers are available.

If Telkom rolls out the 2000 towers they planning then they are sure to get another 5 Million customers Joining them in the next 12 Months.
 
Have to say other than the Vodacom Special of R299 for 30Gb + 50Gb + 30Gb Night Surfer and Rains R250 unlimited off peak.

Telkom has the best offers from all the Mobile Operators Prepaid and Postpaid.

Excluding the free 1GB in 2014, from R5 for 1GB in Sept 2015 to R29 in July 2019 makes a massive increase over the last few years, waaaay above inflation. Not impressed at all, but don't know that I can stand the effort of moving all family members to Telkom.

Pointless comparison when you can't guarantee that particular deal will be available for everyone at any given time, I can guarantee it won't be.

All our phones are on TM and none of them have that offer currently.

Not exactly pointless. Most of Mo' Nice of around R30 you'll get 2GB+

I assume all your SIMs are Telkom More? Mine is and gets the same kak offers as you.

I have a spare which is SmartBroadband LTE Wireless Prepaid (used to use that for the R50/500GB). That SIM gets much better deals.

I get the same on SmartBroadband Prepaid. Can't transfer it though.

What plan have you seen this on?
 
do you think we will ever live in a time when 1GB of data costs R1?:confused:
