I know there are a lot here who don’t like Cell C but I had a great experience with them during installation. From application to up and running (new open serve line installation ) with less then a week. Since then everything has been running smoothly.
Last week I decided to upgrade to a 40 meg line ( and change cc details at the same time ) . Sent them an email. They reply same day saying I must call their support line . Tried but no answer for a few minutes so I just EFT the payment . This morning I remembered about the upgrade. Get on the website to use the chat function and I’m told to call the number. I call the number , press option 2 and it gets answered within a few seconds . Great. However the lady says I need to send an email ( same address I sent to originally ) .
I’m trying to give them a few RAND more every month but it seems hard work. Decided to just stay with current line speed for the time being.
Regarding changing CC details the only way is to give it to them over the phone or by email or go to the store where they will write down the details . In this day and age of fraud , that’s asking for trouble . They take all the details including the CCV number . I’ll be doing a monthly EFT it seems .
Just a rant cause it could be so much easier if people really tried.
