Cell C's spiffing new offices

Looks pretty cool!!
I wonder if they hiring. I love working in new buildings.

Why not use the money to fix their network. I cannot even send SMS's this morning. MMI codes are not working. They are utterly useles in Alberton.

So ure away from Sandton smack bang into the middle of the e-tolled N1. Say thanks to your employer and then the ANC for adding R450 to your monthly expenses :erm:

1. Only people living in Cape Town care about Cape Town.
2. Mountain tax is a bitch
3. See no 1. Nobody cares about Cape Town.

Mountain tax VS e-Tolls ... hmmmm. I prefer the better looking bitch then.

Because Gauteng is the economic hub of South Africa.

Shouldn't the economic hub have better roads, less potholes, working traffic lights, better billing systems, less power failures, and a better rugby team?

At first I wanted to fight you on this but then you make a VERY good point.

Should we not start a new thread. Which city has best road or which city is most taxed.

Well if you want to get into it, Johannesburg has so much more road than Cape Town. Combine that with Midrand, Centurion and Pretoria and Cape Town becomes a little blip on the radar. And say what you want about SANRAL, the highways here are in very good condition for the most part.

OR Tambo is here, most of the people are here - everything is here. Mines, production, government, financial institutions (JSE included). I might be selling Cape Town short but you guys have the mountain, tourism, winelands, ocean.

Why would you want this mess there by you guys anyway? Do you want to go to Fisherman's Wharf and smell/see smog in the air from all the cars and factories? Count your blessings. The only reason I'm here is because of the money, the weather is pretty cool and Gold Reef City :p

Hehe ...

That rugby team is a sore point. I cannot understand why the Lions just cannot get it right. It should have more money than any other union (as it had under Luyt). But anyway that is for another thread in another section.

I believe CT is growing stronger and will become an attractive investment city. With the advances in technology and operations distance doesn't matter as much as it used to. A growing number of business people fly between Joburg and CT regularly. FNB is building an awesome new office complex in the CT CBD. People are moving down here in ever growing numbers and the salaries are rising fast (gap closing).

Public Transport is getting seriously better in CT ... the improvement is astounding. Transport management in CT in general is getting better and better by the day and this must lead to economic growth.

I don't see why large top tier companies cannot be based in Cape Town these days. Pity that a company like Cell C did not grab the opportunity to differentiate itself by coming to CT.
