Thanks, i cant seem to get it right.
I’m now activating siri from my radio and asking her to phone the number , “phone open sesami”

You can use Siri with location too.

Only problem is then there is maybe a queue etc it’s unlikely to trigger exactly in time with the floor plate.

I used this at the office previously but don’t think there was any detection in place.

Because if I lose my remote I can always phone someone to arrange access, and if I lose my phone I can always get into my apartment to communicate from my computer.

Now if I lose my phone I'm screwed. I live one step away from crisis - no thank you. There must be alternatives.

That’s got nothing to do with security though.

I made this forum post several years ago. Presently, I reside in a complex equipped with biometric authentication. If I were to attempt automating this procedure of automating the call, I would likely use an NFC tag.

In theory, home assistant could facilitate this process: create a zone and upon arrival near it, initiate a call to the designated number.

No Home Assistant required.

Can do it directly in Shortcuts on iPhone.

Not actually sure how Home Assistant would initiate the call.
