I normally use the Windows dialup system (XP Pro, SP3) to connect to the Internet and I monitor data usage through NetMeter. MDMA runs quite happily in parallel so I can see what tower I am connecting to and what the signal strength is.
I also have Ubuntu on the computer and, while I mainly still use Windows, I often log on using Ubuntu. Data used here, and it can be quite high when there is an update, obviously doesn't get recorded by NetMeter. I haven't been able to find the equivalent of NetMeter in Linux so, short of noting usage on a piece of paper each time (that's NOT going to happen
), I don't actually know exactly how much data I still have left.
In the past I've logged on occasionally, especially towards the end of the month, using the CellC dashboard which has the facility to display the balance of data available. (60Gb promotion, 5Gb/month prepaid) Normally I click on the button and literally in seconds the balance is displayed. Today, nothing even after waiting for 5 minutes.
Is it just me that CellC is ignoring today or are others having the same problem?
