Hey
Some background : Having had enough of VC BIS (prepaid), I ported to Cell C prepaid yesterday at a total cost of R10 (for which I received R 10 airtime), a reduced BIS monthly fee of R 57 and what I suspect is a much better SIM (128k vs VC 32K) . I went into the store to do RICA and the porting and probably spent 15 mins there. Less that 24hrs later I am up and running on Cell C. (I will reserve judgement on my choice to port after a few weeks of usage
)
Anyway, on my BB 9800 I see that my menu displays an app called CellC Explorer. From what I could gleen from their site and a few others is that its a navigation app and with - according to them - some cool new functionality.
Apparently the app only functions on certain handsets.
In the "small print" of their promo, they mention that data charges will apply but do not explain further and refer the user to their call centre for more information. The questions I have is :
1) Has anyone used the app and is it any good?
2) I assume data charges will not apply if you have BIS, but would like to confirm?
Any thoughts please.
