CellC losing customers

CellC seems to be doing a good job of launching innovative, attractive cellular packages, but as the CEO noted they now have to work on keeping those prepaid customers.

Try lowering your prices, that would be a good bet.

I wonder if they're losing customers to their Virgin sub-brand

"CellC loosing customers" eh rpm? :D Hmm: does that mean they're less (up)tight than the customers on the other two networks? ..or maybe you mean something entirely different? /angelic.innocence

Maybe the customers are just hanging loose. ;)

Does this mean that CellC as a company is looser [untethered to customers] or a real loser...? :D

PS: As a CellC pre-paid customer, the likes of dumb frisbee adverts do not inspire me to take CellC seriously & I have decided to wait for MNP next month to express my disaproval.

Nothing to do with RPM, it's my brain that is pickled :D

Thanks for pointing it out!

Cell C raises profits as subscribers grow August 23 2006

Cell C, South Africa's No. 3 mobile-phone company, said first-half profit rose 23 percent as it gained more customers.

Profit before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation for the six months ended June 30 climbed to R199.3 million, the company said in an e-mailed statement on Wednesday, without supplying comparative figures. Sales rose 22.5 percent to R3 billion.

So which is it??

While we're (ok, ok, I'M  ) being anal, surely there's a "/" missing from the 'close' tag there? :D

I, too, am underwhelmed in a multiplicity of ways at the incumbents/"old guard" in general and Virgin, by way of it's refreshing honesty about the screwing-over-of-customers that ALL phone operators do have earned my interest ..and soon my custom.

edit: foul and dastardly behaviour! HE can edit posts without the fact of same showing up as an edit ..that's just cheating!

Nope, I was equally surprised - I edited my post twice immediately after initially posting [first to add the untethered bit & second to add the missing /], considering the lag time involved vBulletin should have marked at least the 2nd edit as an edit, but somehow it didn't & you managed to see my unabridged post in its slashless state...
