I purchased a CellC prepaid sim yesterday along with R89 airtime to test out signal strength and network quality.
I recharged successfully, but when I check my balance it says I've got no airtime, but I've got 3:20:00 Cell C to Cell C minutes, 200SMS and 200MB data.
What's the story? Did I do something stupid?

Isn't it?

Yeah, just checked again.... same thing. When I make a call (to MTN or Vodacom) it tells me to recharge my airtime. I'm assuming I can make calls to Cell C subscribers no problem...

You should demand for a refund!! Contact the rep on the form and inform him which brand you purchased the airtime from and the sales consultant you dealt with. Unacceptable you asked for airtime not a bundle/promo but did you read your airtime voucher before loading it. I am sure it should display what exactly u getting.

Airtime is airtime to make calls etc.

I read the slip after I loaded it and it says nothing about what kind of airtime it is. Got it from CNA....

Wow!!! Saw the prices now.....that is a good bundle even if it is only cell c to cell c minutes. Slashed from R300 to R89.....now that's a saving:D

@ KicktheBucket - Glad you had your prob solved bru. ;)

Saw the pic yesterday with the two CEO's (Cell C and Vodacom) in a boxing ring...lol. Awesome!!! But I'm still curious as to what Cell C has planned. Don't know what it is but I bet it's gonna be good.:D

Cell C rep sorted it out for me - he added the airtime onto my sim and let me keep the data and smses.
What a legend!

He sure is a legend. Sorted my sim swap out on contract in a few minutes for free when the store wanted to charge me R130

Respect++

Now he must just edit the R0.50/SMS price entries in the database to something cheaper so that I can move my whole fandamily over to CellC. That, or create a Prepaid SMS bundle product. Parentals love to SMS each other after hours and the 50c vs their current 35c is a difficult one to sell.

Once that is sorted we can gladly discuss the legend status.

I wouldn't do anything for the customer with such attitude.

The beauty is that I didn't even need to bribe him to get things done... now THAT is what you call customer service....

Easy to figure out.

I felt that the non-threatening tone of the post did not warrant the need for an added :p in the mix to properly convey my message. I seriously do not detect said attitude from the post.
