Celphone upgrade - what to get?

If I recall the 6600 is a 3G phone, the 9300i as a upgrade option may not be ideal as it only supports EDGE.

I'm due for an upgrade soon as well but holding off for MNP as I think there may be a couple of good offers coming to via for business.

Yes, they al come with WiFi.

Best place to look for resources on these devices would be xdadevelopers.com and buzznet.dev. There are a few Linux projects on the go.

A JasJar running Linux would be scary.
 
I'm about 2 years due for an upgrade - I like the look of RIMs 8700 - any idea when that will be coming out here? The missus also likes it as she knows she'll be the recipient of my current 7290.

I remember reading about these gizmo robots around the house, it was a while back though, think last year or even longer. These look a lot spiffier too.
It's crazy, I didnt read up too much about them but do they also return to their "home" to recharge or when done doing the chores?
They probably got some pretty smart AI built in as well.

Have been interrested in applied technology all my life, and have tried and tested many previous attempts at domestic robotics.

These units are the first production-quality systems I've seen. They just work, doing a better job than you probably would and all automated.

And they're cool!
 
Maybe I must get one, will probably make my life easier ;)

They expensive? Local distributors or had to import?

I believe together with the Samsung Z560 (HSDPA) that Vodacom is busy testing, is also a BenQ Siemens as well, which is aso HSDPA capable. Rather wait for these? or not really into the connectivity side of things....

Your wishlist looks very similar to mine except for the Sony and the i-MATES.

Will check them out for consideration as well.

I was thinking I should get something like the HP6515 (Iwant the GPS) and a small phone like the Nokia 8800.

Get the Samsung Galaxy Note. Way better than any of the phones mentioned.
 
We have so many of these "I'm due for an upgrade what should I get?" threads that I thought we should celebrate them with a nostalgic moment ... :D
