Centurion cellphone shop robbed

I don't understand why they don't take precautions against this.

That shop gets robbed about 2-3 times per year and the culprits always get away.

Also, the reporter has his facts twisted around as usual.

The Centurion Mall and the Mall@Reds are two completely different malls, so which is it?

In most cases shops within a mall may not have their own security and are forced to rely on the security arrangements of the mall itself.

That may be, but at this point they could have installed metal detectors or revolving doors like the banks as silly and unpractical as that sounds, or given someone a panic button to wear around their neck.

Also, which mall was it? Centurion or Mall@Reds?

If the pattern repeats itself, you can be sure the other one will be hit in the near future.

The shop at the Irene Mall is also a favourite.

If you were really our king, you'd know a Centurion mall does not equal the Centurion Mall

The article mentions a mall in Centurion...

Two of them entered the store in the Mall@Reds

I'm pretty sure that the undisclosed procedure of most mall's security is to let the robbers get away unhindered.
Insurance will always pay out, and trying to stop the robbers only results in innocent shoppers getting shot to pieces.

Those phones are not insured. It's a loss to the company that sells them.

Maybe you should read better. The reporter wrote 'a Centurion mall', not 'Centurion mall'.

At least cell phone shops are not being robbed every week like last year.
