I have not been here posting for a long time. But this one is classic. I just got a call from a guy saying his CEO's line is down. I only realized that he was talking about the CEO of Telkom. So now u all know that even the CEO's line goes down. and guess what! He got put in the Q just like every one else .:D
 
Hey - you work for Telkom - you should post here more frequently!! Keep us up to date?
 
sry. last time I was here I was erm.... insulted to say the least. so I just left.

Hey GangStarr, good to finally see someone from Telkom on this forum. I hope you 'll consider staying around to give us some insight as to the on-goings of Telkom.
 
Hey, GangStarr.

A little trick. Stay away from Off Topic discussions, and forums where there are a large number of posts, and you can avoid all insults. I've realised that by posting in any large forums it often turns into someone getting insulted badly. And as a Telkom employee, you're bound to be the first person they pick on. Everybody hates Telkom, because everybody else does. I've had my bad, (And terrible) moments with Telkom, but it's the same problem in even our company. It takes 6 - 7 weeks for anything to filter from top down, and 2 mins from bottom up.

But having someone who works for Telkom dropping the odd update will be welcome. There are some mean cusses out there, who look for a fight on the forums, but there are those of us who don't. The thing about this forum is that everybody should be equal to each other, regardless of who you're employed by. I believe the original idea behind the forum was not to flame anyone, but to take a united stance in solving problems. (Not united stance in flaming large money sucking corporates :) )

Gangstarr, I don't know if you know and can tell us more about faster ADSL lines? 4Mb, 8 Mb?? We read in the press that Telkom will invest R35 m in infrastructure? Have they started to upgrade their equipment? Will we se faster lines soon?
 
Hey GangStarr. Welcome back! Please stick around and don't take people's offensive comments seriously. Your company's corporate policy has nothing to do with you and it's not your fault that things are the way they are. Telkom is an impressive corporate machine and i've seen many of the internal departments during stints of work there. Highly impressive. There are some seriously clever people in the bowels of the company. All the problems are caused by the fat cats in the boardroom and the stupid government of this country. Anyone below top management only wants a decent salary and a decent work environment within a decent, well-liked and efficient company. Just hang in there- times are changing and i am very positive. Enjoy the forums and drop us a line if you have any interesting bits of info. Do you mind telling me in what department you work? How is it?
