Online article someone sent me about what 'Barbie' can expect in prison. I am SO thankful that I am not her!

Here is an excerpt from the article :

Wat presies beteken “so ’n leefstyl?”

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

I can has English translation?

Elmar Potgieter for nearly three years in a similar jail was for fraud, saying that for the first few nights awake and had been plans to escape. "It was absolutely awful. If Cézanne not used to such type of lifestyle does not go to many hardships - especially in the beginning. "

What exactly does "as a lifestyle?" Well, for someone in a cherished middle class Christian home as Cézanne grew up, she is definitely at this time have a senuweebol! Cézanne was apparently greatly under the influence of sedatives on Monday when she reported to the High Court to sentence her to serve.
"They share a cell with 19 other criminal women. There is no privacy. Nothing. When you want to use the toilet you must do it before everybody. Do you know how horrible it is when someone should use the toilet while you sit and eat? Your appetite away! "Said Elmar.

Last roasted meat together with loved ones ...

Professor Johann Lemmer, Cézanne's stepfather said that their last weekend together as a family, but quiet movement. Saturday night a couple of Cézanne's friends happened to a BBQ and Sunday, she and her mother still spent together. One can imagine how Cézanne Saturday banqueting, because there will not be soon a tjoppie her roasted on the fire is not.

Cézanne's new "home"

Armed with a big sunglasses (to hide behind), a pillow and bedding seegroen Cézanne had kissed her parents goodbye and walked to the gate. "Extra bedding is definitely needed by Cézanne in jail," said Elmar. "All you get is two thin lakentjies and one gray, rough blanket that you keep warm in winter. The cells were cold and there is always a draw by a broken block (or two) comes, it's very bad. "
"She will have become accustomed to two eggs a week and eat more cooked hoenderafval, this is where her weekly protein intake will exist. The stuff we got exactly the same as waste, you still see the Nekkies and wensbeentjies ronddryf therein. For vegetables you get oily cabbages and if you are lucky one skorsie a week. In addition to live on dry, brown bread. "Elmar say when family or friends to visit regularly is the time draagliker. She also mentioned that the market of food and other essentials such as deodorant, shampoo and chocolate are true lifesavers.

Oh Boo Woo... She should have thought about that before she destroyed innocent lives.

Sick Cow.

As a woman she should have it easier... unless they pull out the broom sticks. But then again she may just enjoy it as that sicko boyfriend of hers was probably into fisting & stuff:sick:

Actually what I read in the article isn't so bad. I would have thought it would be worse.

“The degree of civilization in a society can be judged by entering its prisons.” -Fyodor Dostoevsky

Off topic: But this story illustrates the gap we have in our society clearly. We middle class types, will find prison hellish, however for the majority of criminals who come from impoverished backgrounds, its not quite THAT bad...

As you were...

Ya, I guess its better for some then living on the streets...for some There was no mention about the abuse from other prisoners, like being bought and sold. Or does this happen in the male prisons?? Maybe she will get "shawshanked" after all.

I think the bad stuff mainly happens in the male prisons.p
