Charged for SiM card cutting?

Of course I had to pay, since he did actually inform me of the cost before doing it.

If he'd informed you of the cost ONLY AFTER cutting the SIM, then you'd of refused to pay, I gather ?

Just cut your own card. You don't need to spend 10 years at University to work it out.

Notified before hand that it costs R50. Then shocked that it costs R50?

What the hell am I missing here

Exploited .... for sure.

Not sure what shop I went to, but the dude clipped mine for free, and I cut my wifes with a pair of scissors.

Charge by all means - but R50 bucks seems steep.

Lets not blow things out of proportion here think about it.
Specialized tools - Sim Press
Labour - 5 Mins plus this is physical work here and dangerous too he could lose a pinky.
Plus the company need to recuperate the costs of training the individual, so he does not lose said pinky.
Plus the precious electricity he uses to operate the lights to see what he's doing.

It's a tough life can go around doing things for free ya know!

LOL this post is weird if not read in context with the thread, and even worse if you correct the grammar.
Plural of wife is wives. :D :D :D

Vodacom Shop Tygervalley tried to charge me R149 for cutting a micro sim to a nano sim yesterday. Luckily they told me the price before cutting. The lady told me the price to cut the sim is R149, I asked again to make sure I heard correctly, cursed and walked out.
