Charges dropped against Telkom CEO

Is there no detail on why the charges were dropped?
Who is going to pay the R30K of fines run up on the false plate?

Isn’t it going to be problematic to prosecute this offence in future or will everyone be allowed to fit other number plates to their vehicles?

I have considered changing my name to something like Sipho, or Jacob. I can then get away with anything in the new SA

It's fking sick and criminal the way the cadres get treated compared to the man on the street.

I wonder how much it cost Maseko to get the charges dropped. Everybody has a price...

I need to start making friends with people in the higher ranks of the ANC so I can also get away with corruption.

So this means we can use his plates without issues ?

An explanation will be in order.

Oh, and,

In July, Telkom said the matter “is personal to Mr Maseko and is in no way related to Telkom”.

Maseko declined to comment as he left the Magistrate’s court in the city’s Wynberg suburb on Friday. The case against him was withdrawn, according to a court official.

“Mr. Maseko welcomes the decision,” Telkom spokeswoman Jacqui O’Sullivan said in an e-mailed response to questions. “The resolution of this matter now allows Mr. Maseko to put the issue behind him.”

So... Telkom welcomes the decision?

Interestingly, a guy named Sipho feels he has a better chance of getting away with *** if has a name like Kobus. Dijon or a surname like Pistorius.

How the fork did those charges get dropped???

Assumption: Settled out of court. He will pay the R30k in bills raked during his use of cloned plates and pay a small compensation to the owner of plate number. Makes sense. Yes/No/Maybe?
