ChatGPT

Anyone running their own agents locally using Ollama and AnythingLLM? Private and “free”
Agents? No... but I am using several LLMs through Open WebUI, custom python frontends and in ComfyUI workflows.

Hey guys been testing out a few different AI tools and was wondering if you guys have a recommendation for the best free and paid ones ? Have an X account so have grok but it made a basic math error when calculating returns but can accesss the web for queries so works well. Not sure if the $20 Chat GPT version is worth it or maybe gemini ?

Lastly does it work better using one AI so it can understand you better or jump between a few ?

It depends on what your use case is. In my experience, you can't rely on any LLMs, whether free or paid, for accuracy in math. They're fairly good for creative writing, chatting, some scripting / coding and perhaps now with the advent of agents, doing mundane things like creating reports, setting appointments, fact searching, but these things almost always need to be vetted due to AI hallucinations and getting things wrong.

As for using multiple AIs or one - again, depends on what you intend to use it for. Sometimes it's good to get multiple perspectives on something, but they're all fairly similar anyways. Some are more censored than others, and one might be slightly better at a particular niche task than the next. You'd just need to play around and see what works for you. Start with the free versions of the various AIs, Chat GPT, Gemini, Claude, maybe even try a few local ones like Deepseek, Gemma, Qwen, if you the hardware to do it.

Generative AI is not a calculator and should not be used as a calculator.

If you want to do calculations with AI, you will need to start looking at something that can run as an agent and connect to a calculator tool. Even then there is a chance that the AI used to extract the numbers will make it up.

Found this, bascially asks a few AI's and give you all the answers. Will test a but, says free but think you need to buy credits or something

Hmmm. Despite the upgraded model, it still struggles with some of the same tasks I gave O3. Particularly in image generation...

At least now it can count the r's in the different berries.
