Where do i get an el-cheapo ADSL router with basic wifi (802.11a/b/g) ?? Everywhere I go they selling wireless-n routers which are awesome but not what i need as i just need it as a wireless PPPoE bridge to the network(that way lightning kills one item only haha) ? Looking for something in the centurion area.

There have been numerous threads discussing this. A common approach is to get a WAN router of whatever nature you desire, plus a simple ADSL modem in bridge mode to allow the WAN router to handle the PPPoE setup.

In that way, the hope is that the lightning takes out the cheap ADSL modem (e.g. DLink 2500U @ +-R200), and leaves the WAN router alone.

Dunno where to get them in Centurion, though.

Pretty much any PC shop should be able to help you. Online, you can go here.

esquire got those asus ones on special for R399 ex vat IIRC else just get one of those cheap tenda ones
its about R399 as well, matrix and IC stock them. i have one and its not bad at all.

R400 bucks for a router is ok if its your primary device(400 bucks routers come with wireless-n) but in the past i use to get those el cheapo old ones for 200 bucks. hrm.. I will see if i can find the old ones cybersmart use to give as a freebie a few years ago.(I suspect it's left in the roof but in cpt :()

Will check gumtree for old ones, maybe i can pick up one for cheap.

D-Link 2500U, no wifi, but then use a wireless card/dongle + Connectify, sorted.
