From what i've heard of plasma, it basicall the same as LCD, if not a bit brighter. Does lose contrast after about 5 years. Do a search on Google on LCD vs Plasma. There was also a great article on Wikipedia.
Naah , not quite - BIG difference actually !!!!! Res / Contrast / type of display etc etc. Everybody is very cagey 'bout recommending the one or the other - sounds like it's very much a personal choice. I'm still in two minds - reading and checking threads and actual feedback from people is sort of forming my oppinion at this stage....... :D

Whahahhaha - I'm not a serious soccer fan but the beers and a kuier sounds more like the way.............. I see there's a Durbanville Computers supplier on either the Esquire site or the Proline site - what are the chances of that being you ???? :D :D :D

None at all. I'm only a dealer to avoid being ripped off by retail. I supply at cost to everyone and only charge for any actual effort I make. Besides that, I will NEVER sell esquire products again.

I read you comment on that a bit earlier - Esquire being thieves.:D . I usually do the same through my brother but he's not a pinnacle dealer. Sahara / Rectron / Light Edge etc etc. What's the warranty like on the Proline products ???? Are they full of **** ???

It's an entry level set for sure. Probably a Gateway, rebranded as a Jean (both from Taiwan) Reviews have not really been favorable on the Gateway sets but I suppose you'll have to see it in action.
My experience with Proline products have been great, but there's always a first

BenQ

Hi Guys,

Any Feedback on the new BenQ LCD 37" Tv ?????? Apparantly the first true HDTV ready 1920x1080 res LCD tv.............. Any price indication from our Esquire contacts ????? :D :D

Do any of you know where I can buy a LCD tv without the guys ripping the ring out of it............... :D

I'm looking for a 32" LCD tv for somewhere around the R10k mark.

Hi CIS, have you already bought, if not, I can give you a good quote.

Hi CIS

I sell the BenQ LCD's as well, very nice units. The 37" is going for about R 11 500.00 inc VAT. Check out Benq.com

Anyone seen a Proline 32"? I stayed at a flat for about a month where they had one... wasn't impressed with the quality, the refresh rate seemed terrible, a lot of ghosting in DVDs.

Yeh... but R6500 for a proline, or 8500 for a samsung with decent specs... I'd rather get the Samsung.
