Cheaper Android and cheaper data bundles from Vodacom

if I see a thread title proclaiming 'cheaper data bundles', is it too much to expect a thread concerning CHEAPER DATA BUNDLES?! instead I get some random nonsense dedicated to investors/shareholders.

how about this mybb:
decline to publish articles from vodacom unless the article covers a something useful for the greater community AND said something is to be implemented within the next, say, 3months?

Question: why is it that prepaid users get to download for free while contract users pay per meg? #fair-unfair?!?! :(

Sounds interesting, I'll believe it when I see it. At the moment, "Cool story Bro".

Promises, promises. VC will give us cheaper data bundles 6 months after CellC does. So yes, it's true - cheaper bundles are probably on the way.

The group boasted a 35% growth in data revenue this year and sees this as a growth opportunity.

No charity at Vodacon.
They want more people to milk.

;)

" a more aggressively
positioned Cell C has resulted in downward
pressure on prices and margins, according
to Hirschel."

Question is, what happened to all that bravado? I thought VC thought the new CellC model was unsustainable...
Man I lov it when the underdog starts kicking some ass!

The statement "cheaper data bundles are on the way" would almost always be true in any market. There will be innovators who push the issue to make that statement true. The problem with Vodacom is that they have long fallen off the innovator bandwagon, and altho they were split from Telkom not too long ago, they are starting to (if they haven't yet) resemble that slow, trudging communications colossus.

Adapt or die Vodacom. My money is better spent at Cell C as opposed to your company. Even this whole "2gb/60mins free from 12am to 5am" makes my blood boil since why the heck would I be awake at that time?! Customer is king, don't offer me nonsense just because it suits your framework. Give me the option of either having that extra 2gbs at night as it is now, or say an extra 500mb during the day. Just something tangible instead of promises all the time.

Just love how these large corporates are changing their stories. Lars has lied again, only this time it was the other networks that scooped it up like icecream with a gold spoon. Customers like myself knew the Cell C prices were the new standard. How does it feel to be caught with one of the oldest ones in the book Vodacon?

The title and article is misleading. There's no talk of any cheaper data bundles, only Vodacom trying to place itself in a good light. This advert should be reported to the ASA. Cheaper bundles are always on the way at some point. 4 years later however and I'm still paying R389 so without any commitment on a price and date it's all lies as usual.
