Cheapest ADSL data packages

I can't find that Afrihost pricing on their website, anywhere. Only R39/GB on prepaid, the others are R29.
Anybody know where it is?

I agree.. I have been considering moving to an isp that is a bit more expensive, but offers better ratios.. because i have also been experiencing a fluctuating connection with afrihost. downloads range from 40Kb/s to 400.. before they launched their uncapped service i had good speeds all the time.

I am thinking of going back to web africa.

Have the Titan DSL Complete 1 - 384kbps with 15 gig bandwidth. Downloads are at fullspeed most of the time, have not had any issues yet.

Some problems with videoskype, but I suspect that to be related to weather and not the quality of the service. Every weekend since the start of May we have had bad weather around skype time.

The 15 g is enough for my needs. Cheap enough that I don't feel to frantically download or loose the money, and enough so that I don't worry when seeing a youtube link.

Pretty much all the WA bandwidth is the same (unless you select something special like local only). I don't think they are shaping at all atm. Some WA staffer said its just there so that they can legally shape if it becomes necessary.

Local pings are slightly high (70ms to mybb) but otherwise pretty awesome. (Routing goes PTA->CPT->JHB :()
 
Ye, I have the Titan Complete 2 and it is running at full speed 24/7, torrents going at 400k. I am very happy with WA.

Please could you tell me the date you ordered and the date the line transfer was completed? Unless your line was already with WA.
Just want to see how long Telkom is taking. I ordered my Titan Complete 2 in April 29th and I'm still waiting for Telkom to do its job.
 
Will the axxess prepaid vouchers ever be reduced?? i mean that R70/GB seems ridiculous now

I think this is quite normal. Telkom does take its time especially with the network freeze...

I am with WA and very happy - no problems in speed or support from them!

Its a complete throw of the dice. Theoretically 2 weeks. In practice its somewhere between 1 day to 2 years.
