Cheapest mobile data alternatives to ADSL

Telkom have the best deal for mobile data right now. The LTE 10+10gb (nightsurfer) for R300 p/m is a good entry-level package. I wish Afrihost would slap on some after-hours data. That said - I find the AH support to be way better than Telkom after waiting a month for a reply regarding an ADSL install from Telkom.
 
Telkom SmartBroadband Wireless, is it a once off payment?
how long is the data valid for?
 
The article actually fails to mention which of those packages include nightsurfer data - like Telkom. Come on mybb - please provide all the appropriate info when comparing packages :(.

@bar1: Telkom offer those packages as either a 24xmonth contract which includes an LTE router, or they're available as a pay-monthly option. I'd imagine they have a system that automatically charges your card each month & you can opt out at any time.
 
Can't you use Afrihost Plus to double those packages for R99 p/m?
So the Afrihost 5GB works out to 5+5GB for R247+R99=R346

You can, but for example the AH mobile 4 is R197 p/m = 4GB.
AH+ costs R99 which doubles my data to 8GB plus another 500mb bonus data.

So with AH I'm paying R300 for 8.5GB vs R300 for 10+10gb with Telkom.

+1 And Telkom's Mobile data have a larger deal at 100GB+100GB nightsurfer for R999 but no mention of that.
 
Why inst Neotel included?. They do technically have 'mobile packages' which are far cheaper than any of the above (if you have coverage)

2GB Data for R49.00
4GB data for R89.00
7GB data for R149.00
24GB for R499.00

Do you have a link to these prices on their site cause I can't find it.
 
for some strange reason this article keeps crashing my chrome. its weird because it loads in firefox.
also other articles load fine in chrome its just this one.
weird...
 
With those caps this is not really a replacement for ADSL though... But if it is all you can get what can you do.

Where are Vodacom and MTN prices with their so called best networks?

Exactly. Those Neotel and iBurst prices are promising but you still have to purchase a seperate device upfront if i'm not mistaken?

If you take a contract you can usually get a device included at the same price.
