I know DSTV is ripping us off at R500/month but I just cannot stand SABC, E-TV. And paying R270/month for only one channel is totally ridiculous when you can get more channels for R500. I watch 5 out of the 8 Supersport Channels regularly. At night we like to watch Takeshi's Castle and Ninja Warrior on Animax and the fiancee is always checking out some channel with wedding planners and other wedding ideas. She also watches MNET soapies between 18h00 and 19h00. I also love Ultimate Survival, Mythbusters, Time Warp and Prototype This. So spending a lot of time on Discovery too.
So although it is a massive rip-off, DSTV really does offer "So much more".

1 Channel(MNET) = R270
10-15 Watchable channels(DSTV) = R500

It's a bit of a matter of principle with me at the moment.

I was being totally ripped off at R550pm, and have now switched to Easyview at R20pm for ETV, TV1, TV2, TV3, SS Blitz, Al Jazeera (not too bad), CNBC.

I would be happy to pay up to R40/channel extra, for the few channels that I may be interested in, but no way am I going for the full service again.

Unless they can deliver something like Sky+HD at a decent price. Sky+HD costs something like R350pm for 35 HD channels.

Yes, that is it. CSN(Community Service Network)

But they don't always show sport on there. Or have they changed their ways?

They show some Rhema bible church and bollywood (scrambled).
They do show pretty much every SA Rugby match and most of the F1.

They do like showing golf, and fishing for some reason.
