It's not as cheap as the Telkom Internet Starter Pack but it uses the MTN network which must really rub salt in the wounds of those using MTN for mobile data.

The Telkom Mobile starter pack is 200Mb pm x 12 months.
Telkom does have a 3Gb bundle (2 + 1 night owl) for R149 which is 5c a Mb so would still make the top of the list.

Afrihost is offering 500MB (250 + 250) until end June for R29 per month. And it is prepaid. If you want it for 1 month only sign up and get the 500MB and then cancel before the 25th and you won't get charged for the next month. But with their OOB rate soon becoming 10c per MB (or you can rather choose to get capped and pay R99 per GB of the OOB shark scares you), I personally don't know why you'd want to cancel.

Afrihost should offer pre paid. Then they will get a spot there. I'm sure if you include bank charges (debit orders), Afrihost does not do that much better than Cell C or TM.
