Cheating

but if the were given an opportunity on cheating on a loving relationship? Relationships do need work...

Because guys are a-holes and chicks are car guards.

In most cases it's just the excitement of doing something wrong

Not really, some people differentiate between love and sex...

EDIT: I personally can - except out of respect for my gf - I don't.... and hopefully never will.

No no one cheated lol i was watching a movie, cant remember the full name of it and the reason the couple had split was because he cheated

I would like to know your opinion. Why do people cheat on their partners??

Lack of communication, lack of interest, because of an unhealthy relationship, because of too much self-pitying, because of hope? *shrug* It's different for everyone, I think. Then again, these are reasons why a relationship ends, why someone would cheat on someone instead of simply ending their relationship first is beyond me. Possibly because of, "Oh noes, what happens if my fling doesn't work out?"

Self-preservation, a fear of loneliness? Meh :p

There are two sides to every story.

It's a biological imperative. The urge to reproduce is hardwired in our brains. Sometimes cheating is a better reproductive strategy than staying faithful.

So is survival yet you don't see us clubbing each other over the head over food anymore. There will always be excuses, but the way I see it cheating is breaking a promise you made to someone.
It simply means your word is worth ****.

I think in most relationships those promises are not even made, so what is broken? These days people tell the priests/preachers/judges/ships captains what they are allowed to say/not say....so by those confines a relationship will/will not be defined.

So yeah, lack of communication could be a big factor...but I think there are a lot of things that come into play.
