Cheating

It's a biological imperative. The urge to reproduce is hardwired in our brains. Sometimes cheating is a better reproductive strategy than staying faithful.

Cheating because you need to reproduce?
There's std risk and that can contribute to infertility u fool.

I dunno, if it's biologically imposed on us to phuck like rabbits, then I'm seriously screwing with nature here. I'm a 19 year old student, I regard myself as quite attractive too. Now, the "normal" course of action for someone in my position is to play the field. However, I'm more for a monogamous relationship. This doesn't mean I haven't cheated on a girl, when I was 16, I had done it, and I think that was the real decider seeing as I had hurt someone emotionally, and was dishonest with myself. Since then I haven't cheated, and really, I don't intend to.

It's all about priorities. If I like a girl, then it would see her as the one person I desire. Of course, if the relationship goes downward, I'll break it off. Perhaps I'm broken.

You do realize he is right? We are hardwired to screw anything that moves to ensure we survive.

Anything that moves?
We are hardwired to have a family and reproduce...1,2,3,4 children etc. but one needs to cheat to reproduce?Cmon now.

Lack of attraction for their partner and less attention from their partner, usually this leads to less intimacy whether it be emotional or physical... Makes it easier to cheat... which obviously leads to cheating.

I don't think that anyone could truly love you after cheating on you, that just doesn't make sense.

Reminds me of Baz Luhrman:
"Don't be reckless with someone else's heart"

Or something like that lol

Plain and simple:
the need to feel good & lust
or lust & the need to feel good

the right way:
leave the one you're with and do what you want

the wrong way:
hurt the one that loves you by betraying them

They can, it's not impossible.

I would like to know your opinion. Why do people cheat on their partners??

Stuck in a rut
Bored with their partner
Familiarity and mundanity
Lack of sexual stimulation
Lack of intellectual stimulation
Needs and desires changed
Goals changed
Need a change
Outgrown the partner

Often people stay together longer than they should, not really out of love for one another, but out of a feeling of duty, or responsibility, or most often than not out of the fear of being alone after a lengthly period of togetherness.
So instead of moving on they mess around, keeping what they have, just in case they dont meet someone more exciting.

Yes but we are not hardwired to have those kids with one female dude, that is something the book eli brought into us :D and through time we have conditioned our thinking to be that way.

Finally someone speaks the truth, it is also easier to cheat than look your partner in the eye and tell them you don't love them anymore and it's time to move on.

If YOU think it's easy telling someone that your feelings has changed TRY IT. Only then are you allowed to judge those of us who has ventured outside of a relationship trying to find what is lacking.

I am not saying it's right, I am just saying it's very difficult.

So regardless of the excuses for cheating as above it comes down to cowardice ?
Cheaters don't have the strength of character to leave their current partner in order to pursue that which they want or lust for.

( I love and care about you, but I want to have sex with someone else, I know you won't like it, so I cheat, I simply don't have what it takes to confront you about it, I don't want to deal with the anger, frustration and your hurt feelings it will cause - but I do love you) - whaaat ?

I would like to know your opinion. Why do people cheat on their partners??

Why do you eat different food? Or wear different clothes?

The issue of cheating would not be relevant if people were more open about sex, and if they (men and women alike) didn't use it as a trump card in a battle for power. Then people who want a relationship can have one, and those who want sex can bonk.

You'll eventually see the error of your ways. Unfortunately you will be 30 and married by then.
Then the cheating starts.

A bloke will be inclined to stray if his sexual needs are not met at home.
If someone else comes along that is willing and able, he may find it hard to resist.
