Check airtime service down?

This is the first time I am experiencing this, dial *100# and got an error, tried to check on the Vodacom site and it says that my airtime balance is unavailable. is there a problem with the service at the moment?
As an added note I am unable to send sms.
 
ok, called Vodacom and they said they are aware of the problem, they could not fix my sms errors though.

Thanks, I tried that and it did not work, was out for a bit and *100# worked when I was connected to another tower, I think they just having some issues with certain towers, although I am no expert :D
