Checkers - bad.

Phone them. They will replace next time you go back even without the slip. They are usually very good and give you the benefit during complaints even without proof of purchase.

Same here. I seldom have problems with their stuff apart from the grilled chicken. Bought 2 whole grilled chickens from them about a month ago and it was very dry.

Just remember there was a time when unwrapped mints in restaurants were a thing and no one had a problem with that.......until someone did.

Just to quote myself and whether it's Checkers' fault.
Checkers is a grocer. They have standards to uphold. Food safety and the list goes on.

If a random person like myself buys a bread and 2 days later the entire bread is moulded (white bread, clearly visible).
Then yes, that's the fault of the grocer.

Take the expired and soon to be expired bread off-shelf. Sell it or give it away.
They actually do sell these various loaves to farms and people feeding livestock with it.

I'm not livestock. (or a car).

Well, I'm loving the Checkers Sixty60 app... it's awesome... and the food is generally of an even higher quality.

Durban, years ago, Greek restaurant on the boardwalk, bowl of mints on the counter with a spoon in it.

Patrons leaving ahead of us, paid their bills and then the woman took the spoon picked up some mints popped them into her mouth using the spoon and left.

Never went near a bowl of mints anywhere ever again.
 
Just had a similar experience with Checkers. Bought a bag of nectereans 2 days ago. Opened the bag today and it's full of blue mold.

I have now had an experience like this from 3 different Checkers in Northern Johannesburg. One of them sold me rotten chicken last year.

Won't put my foot in a Checkers again.
 
Ugh!

Why did I come to this thread, you guys are nasty. I have just been put off bread for a few days after reading this thread. :p :mad:
 
Has anyone else had problems with sixty60 app and payments?

It seems to happen if you order after hours. The apps says 'transaction failed in big red letters' so you order again and then get double everything and two payments deducted.

To add insult - the milk (which is now double quantity) is sour and unusable
