Vodacom should enable use to recharge prepaid vouchers over the net!

swapping sims, typing in 4 or more long numbers, + waiting inbetween is very cumbersome...

Internet banking for data bundles?

I tried to buy SMS bundles from FNB internet banking, but no bundles are available - ony normal airtime is available. I doubt if you can buy data bundles either.

I just buy the air time and convert to data bundles using either the sms feature on the Huawei app or the USSD commands on the MDMA app.

What USSD command do you use to change airtime to data bundles? Is it perhaps "*141*6*<BundleSize>#" to "buy" bundles and if so do you know of a similar command that can be used to "buy" SMS bundles?

If you on Mtn contract first u would need to dial 0831238000 to setup ur password then once thats done. You dial *162*password# to check ur free minutes, sms bundles, billed calls etc;)

NOTE: only works for mtnsp customers not nashua or italk or autopage

On the new AnyTime contracts, is the procedure the same as the above?

MTN cannot provide contract customers with accurate data available - so throw the whole of section 2 away.

It took 16 days before it reflected any change in my data available - after I used 1,7 Gigs.

If you have MTN contract - here is how to check avaiable data:
1) Change your contract to TOP UP FAST - or you are gonna get snookered for out of bundle data.
2) Follow instructions for checking TOP UP data = *141# from a voice phone. It seems only Vodacom have figured out that modems do not accept speech input and have actually bothered to create an SMS query line.
3) When your TOP UP contract expires - move away from MTN - to Vodacom or something for data.

How to convert airtime to data bundle, someone asked:

Vodacom Pre-Paid:

From your phone, load your airtime vouchers to the value of the databundle you need.

*111#
Option 2 Bundle Purchase
Option 3 Data bundle
Option 1 Std Data (choose bundle size)
Option 1 Proceed with 1
Option 1 Proceed with 1

The pre-paid airtime on your phone will now be converted to a databundle of the value you chose.
